Chapter 3As the shaking began to grow more violent, intense, white beams of light? Electricity? Began to shoot from the machine. I approached the overlook window; stupid I know, but I wanted to make sure Dr. Freeman was okay. I did not see him. He mysteriously vanished, I didn’t have much time to ponder this because as soon as I realized his disappearance, the machine self-destruction into a bright white explosion. I was thrown back, and my head was smashed into a wall; immediately robbing me of consciousness... Everything faded to black.
I don’t know how long it was until I woke up, but I woke up to a terrifying scene before me. Twilight, my partner and friend, was crushed under a shelf that had fallen over her, blood was running from a large gash in her back. Staggering up, I limped over to her. “Twi… Twi!?” I began to choke with tears; she couldn’t be dead, right?
My questions were answered by her shallow breathing,
Chapter 2Boss wasn’t one to be screwed with. He practically ran the whole joint.. Most ponies here never really talked to him unless obeying an order, me, however, I was different. When I spoke to him I always spoke to him straight in the eye, not fearing anything. Not sure what he thinks of it though, because he never shows emotion. And I mean NEVER. That’s really weird.
A blast of wind ruffled my mane, I looked back, and there he was. He was gray griffon with slicked black feathers on the top of his head, briefcase and lawyer suit. His seemingly- soulless eyes scanned the room. “Ahhh, Maya? Would you mind getting Miss Ssparkle here foor mee?” He questioned me with a monotone voice.
I led my jade eyes onto his blue-green ones, “Yes sir, I will get her here now.” I spun around on my hooves and headed into the other room, where Twilight was over checking the formulas and information for our project.
“Twi, Boss wants you..
Chapter 1I woke up to the sudden halt of the tram; shooting up from my seat, I look at what could’ve caused the problem. Well, the tram in front of mine was stopped as well, I wonder why. Maybe it’s because someone decided to throw someone else under it? Peeking my head out the window I realized that hey, somebody else was boarding the tram. It was a silver stallion with… facial hair? Normally we don’t grow facial hair. It was something about accidently cloning somepony because their beard hair fell in an experiment. Oh well, I like this guy, he’s not afraid to speak out his mind! Grow Facial Hair! My attention was diverted from him to the tram ahead of his; a stallion with a slightly shaggy overcoat was in that one, a security guard, I decided. He wasn’t wearing a tie... so I suppose that he is one. Unless he is another rebel- that’d be amazing as well.
A few moments later we were stalled again, what now? Then I realized, a scientist had
Prolouge Subject Information:
Name: Maya [REDACTED]
A steely gray griffin seemed a little surprised of this "Error". Normally all of his.... subjects had a lot to talk about themselves. The other three surely did, who he had looked into moments before. Why had this one be so mysterious? In fact, all that was there was her name and age. Nothing more. Then again, this made her.. Interesting. Certainly he would have to- well, get information from her another way- perhaps they would meet up- like he has planned with the others.
It was time for him to get to- his work, he had big plans today, and he did not want to be late. He opened up the briefcase he always held with him, inside it was a large orange stone- the key element to his plan. Next to it he placed the database, where most of his subjects files were.. Kept.
Since everything was ready, he shut the briefcase. He picked it up with one claw, and straightened his tie with the other. Let
a dangerous hallucinationThe light coming through the window was bright,
much too bright.
Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
the sun was setting
through the window facing east.
I should have seen the hutch,
shelves lined with bone china
decorated with delicate leaves and vines.
I was so thirsty
and reaching for cups that should have been there.
Instead I found a billboard of butterflies,
the colors raging
more than any rainbow
I'd ever seen.
Their wings fluttered and flashed
yet somehow they moved in slow motion.
I wanted to stand,
wanted to reach out and touch them but…
I couldn't move,
and yet I laughed
ignoring my dry mouth
and the tingling in my feet.
There was a tempest
on the rise
and in my blood.
A sugar rush disguised
as a riot of butterflies
and they were swarming me.
There was a small vial
of insulin in my pocket
that I nev
