|| Personal: ||

[
Personality ]:

Anxious | Self Conscious ; Wallace is a naturally anxious character. Characterized as general anxiety. He always finds himself overworked or worried about the smallest things, and feels especially in social situations. Stemming from his hometown, Wallace easily gets nervous and worried around others, and has a hard time communicating with others, often falling over his words and stuttering or stammering. Even with those he is comfortable socializing with, he will constantly fidget with his fingers and hands, or will persistently take off and wipe his glasses clean with his coat.

Worrisome | Caring ; To those he grows to care about, he will constantly fret and worry about them, especially if he notes they aren’t doing so well. Occasionally, he might bring up the courage to visit one of these people, to either catch up or just see how they’re doing.

Oblivious | Lacks Perception ; Prior to being taken onto the train, Wallace had little to no inkling about the citizens from around the world being taken. Or rather, he had, but he suspected nothing sinister about it. He trusted that the Kind has just sent them on vacation. As he is so oblivious, Wallace lacks a lot of perception and can’t really read others expressions,

Trust Issues | Doubtful ; Due to the events that occurred all within so close to each other, this once trusting Gazelle has developed many issues with trusting others. First impressions are often rocky with him, as he will doubt any information given, and won’t believe a lot of what is said until it is proven.

Quiet | Attentive ; Wallace is naturally a quiet person, and doesn’t partake in socialization until someone talks to him or he is provoked. However, this does not mean the Gazelle is inattentive. He often eavesdrops on others conversations. He is an excellent listener, and will silently listen to those talking to him or to conversations from across the room.

Unintentionally A Flirt ; Sort of a peek into his old self. Wallace has an odd way of wording things, and often will mistakenly say something flirtatious or suggestive. He often doesn’t catch when he does or when others mistakenly, and in the past it has led him to some…. interesting situations.

Creative | Dreamer ; Rather prone to daydreaming, Wallace often times fantasizes or conjures up his own world where he is much braver than he is in reality. He likes to imagine himself as a hero of sorts, and likes to create scenarios where he can save someone or help with something. Often times those close to him will appear as figments in his daydreams. He gets rather flustered if caught spacing off, and gets especially so if the one who catches him was in the current daydream.

Adamant | Intellectual ; Despite his adequate education, Wallace is rather intelligent when it comes to many things. He tends to think before he acts, and often sticks to whatever he’s decided is best for a situation.

[ Backstory ]: [CW: Mentions of Absent Parents, Homophobia Mention]

-Calf- (Starting Age - 14)

Wallace grew up was born and spent his life leading up to the Train in a Rural Town near Oxford. A rather small place; it only offered some small shops and a single bar in the downtown area with housing settlements around it. The school was shared with the one from Oxford, due to its size. As a child, Wallace was rather studious, learning his alphabet and other essentials a year earlier than most children his age, bumping him to the a class a year above his age. He liked the school for its education more so than his peers, as he was often picked on quite often for being ‘a nerd’, but to him, being picked on by his peers was a better time than going home to his negligent parents.

While his parents weren’t abusive, they weren’t around much for Wallace’s life, often being out in town. For a long while, the only communication he had with his parents was through a note he got that was hung on the fridge everyday, saying various things like ‘Make sure to do your homework’ or ‘Pull weeds from garden’. He acquiesced to these notes each and everyday, even if he didn’t know or understand how to do the task written. His parents didn’t care enough to even check if he did his chores, and paid no mind to him as he recounted the events of that day to them as they stared blankly at the television screen. One of the only times his parents ever seemed to care about him was when he had begun to walk straight into things at home, before they got him glasses.

tl;dr || Wallace grew up in a home with absent parents, and had to do a lot of chores around the house when they were away.

-Adolescence- (15 - 17)

The young calf basically raised himself, and surprisingly ended up thanking his parents for all the chores and housework they made him do, as it gave him enough skills to start advertising housework services at home, up until he was fifteen, where he turned from mere house and lawn work to actually getting a job alongside school. He worked at a small cafe that had opened downtown, and began to familiarize himself with the job, along with the regular customers, and everyone. One of the customers, who Wallace grew especially close with, was a Banded Linsang named Daniel.

Daniel was one of the only customers that came in frequently who tried to at least reach out to Wallace, and often would catch Wallace on his break to chat him up. Wallace learned that Daniel would be two grades above him in school, but he was a dropout due to his sexuality. and for defending his little brother who, to the school, was a girl. It resulted in both of the kids being kicked from the school with threats of the whole family being deported. Being the oblivious child he was, Wallace had no idea that something as sexuality could get someone kicked out of school and deported from Oxford's School.

tl;dr || As he grew older, he did chores and housework around town until he got a job at the age of 15. There he met Daniel, a high-school drop out who had been kicked out due to being bisexual.

-Early Adulthood- (CW for physical/emotional(?) abuse , abandonment , drug mention , alcohol  ) (18 - 26)

By the time Wallace was eighteen, he and Daniel had more or less begun a secretive relationship, as Daniels family had already been deported out of Oxford, and he moved into the Rural town where Wallace lived. Wallace was finishing up his last year of highschool, and was planning on moving out of his parents home . However, when he began to pack up and leave the small room that had been his given to him-- he was stopped by his father, demanding to know where his song was going.

When he explained where he was going, he experienced something he had never gotten from either his parents, especially his father; emotion. His father pushed him to the ground, and called him out on his relationship and accusing him of just going to live with his boyfriend; proving that one, his father had known about Daniel and Wallace for a while, or the whole time, and that Wallace’s parents were like many of the citizens from Oxford; Against the LGBT+ community. He threw a bit of a rant at Wallace, calling him a number of homophobic slurs before throwing him out of the house with nothing but the clothes on his back. Ironically, Wallace was not going to live with Daniel before then, but ended up staying at his apartment while he got enough money again to get his own place.

The next four years flowed more or less, smoothly. Wallace earned money at a nice rate, despite never switching jobs, and Daniel had begun working for a factory out in the field** The Gazelle had resided in the apartment during the time, and he and Daniel were happy with each other for most of it.

That was, until Daniel brought a young Pygmy Goat around the age of four home. As it turned out, in one of the years Daniel had a one night stand with a Goat one night, and ended up knocking her up and having his child. She took care of their daughter for four years before succumbing to heroin addiction two years after her child's birth. Wallace was infuriated with Daniel for a long time, and ignored the child he had brought home for a long time. Until, he realised, that since she would be living with them now, that he was also responsible for her as well. He tried to push aside his anger with Daniel, and tried to connect with his boyfriend's child. Her name was Gena, and at such a young age, she accepted this strange man her father seemed to trust as her other father.

All though Wallace had formed a bond with Gena, the new discovery that Daniel had cheated on him did put a great distance between the two, but they never showed that in front of their daughter. Two years went by and they had to spend more on food and clothes for their growing daughter, money ran off short and Daniel grew more and more frustrated with Wallace and his daughter. He turned to alcohol to help keep himself calm and relaxed, but in drunken rages would lash out at Wallace and Gena, striking them both with his backhand or yelling verbal assaults on them, and blamed his dependency on substance on his family.

It was after a specifically harsh beating on Gena that Wallace decided to leave the apartment and Daniel.. for good. He had saved up enough money at this point and get his own place with enough to sustain him and Gena for a while. So, in the middle of the night, he contacted the police and told them of Daniels abuse and dependence from his car, and assured them that his ‘roommate's’ daughter was safe with him, and would be for the time being. Daniel was taken into custody, and custody for Gena went to Wallace.

tl;dr || When he was eighteen, he and Daniel had begun dating. When Wallace graduated high school, he attempted to move peacefully out of the house, but his father caught him and accused him of leaving just to be with his boyfriend. He was kicked out and ended up living with Daniel anyway. They lived together for many years. Things grew tense between the two when Daniel brought home a child from a one night stand he had, and soon things fell apart as money shortage drove Daniel to excessive drinking and abuse. Wallace left him, taking his daughter with him to a new apartment.

-the year-

Wallace and Gena recovered from this tragedy eventually, and were able to live normal lives in Wallace’s new apartment for sometime. Wallace moved up in positions and got a higher pay at the Cafe, and Gena started kindergarten. It was around this year that the Kind had announced some sort of vacation for citizens across the Western Summer, and that the police would be escorting certain citizens out of their homes. Several of which, happened to be the customers that frequented the Cafe, which quickly lost business and had to close down, giving Wallace no choice but to go back to field work until he could again find a stable job.

On a rather cool day, when the Gazelle took his daughter to school, they were in a car accident that ran them off of the road. While Wallace made it, Gena did not. Wallace blamed the accident and her death on himself, and in the end succumbed to the guilt from her death, and many other things. He soon turned to social activities that were more or less not of his nature, and had several one night stands with multiple men, but had a few romantic encounters with women.

tl;dr || Wallace and Gena lived in the apartment for about a year when people started to get loaded onto a train. A lot of the people taken were customers of the cafe, which lessened its business and eventually closed the place down. Wallace had to do house work for people again while he looked for a new job. When he took his daughter to school one day, they got into an accident which she unfortunately not survive, and the guilt got to Wallace and ended up with him engaging in one-night stands or small relationships with multiple partners.

-the train- (CW for slight police brutality(?) )

One night, the Gazelle heard a knock on the door, followed by it literally being forced open by several officers from the area. They were belligerent with the Gazelle, and treated him rather crudely as they took him to Summervale. unaware the situation he was in, Wallace went peacefully and received little to no injury besides boot scuffs on the backs of his legs from when officers kicked him for not moving fast enough.

When he was put on the train, he quietly ambled around the seats and eventually took a seat, unaware, but beginning to worry about where this train would be taking him. he didn’t speak much to those on the train with him.

[ Roleplay Example ]:

-From an RP in The-Pokemon-DWMA with GaucherieGhost

The DWMA was a large building, and also an academic location for weird things known as "meisters" and "weapons", which as of recent, turned out to be what Monique was. However, that is not where she would be meeting her partner like most.

The Sharpedo followed the address written on the paper closely, squinting at her own small, scrawly handwriting. She had written it down so quickly while presumably her partner spoke about their meeting, so she hadn't the time to make it neat. She wiped off a bit of sweat formed on her forehead before looking up and finding the outdoor umbrellas and tables sitting in front of a small building. A Garchomp was sitting there; the Sharpedo flipped over the card she had written on and saw that her image matched the one on the paper, and her heart skipped a beat. That was her partner, the Pokemon she'd be spiritually bonded with for the whole duration of this school year!

She ran a finger through her hair and gulped nervously before walking over to the table, and returning the small smile her partner was giving her, except with a lot more teeth. "Hey there." Monique said after her partner had greeted her and with a swift motion, the shark took a seat directly opposite her partner, who was scooting herself closer to the table.

"You really took the 'buy me a dinner first' concept to heart, huh?" the Sharpedo laughed quietly at her own joke before pulling at her collar nervously, hoping that she hadn't said anything wrong or offensive to Oliva. "Ahh... and a water would be nice... Thank you!"
